At the heart of this curated collection has always been a passion for Irish Linen, the industry which employed my ancestors and was a giant for so long in my hometown of Belfast or ‘Linenopolis’.
I regularly bring new additions to the shop shelves, often from private collections or estate sales, mainly in Northern Ireland. Linens created by skilled craftsmen and women richly deserving our appreciation.

McBurney and Black began as a way of sharing a lifelong interest in textiles, Irish Linen in particular,
and includes an online store where you will find a wide assortment of antique and vintage linens, as well as a selection of Irish Linen threads and other haberdashery.
